Progressive lenses are a no line multi focal lens that have 3 different prescriptions that “progress” through the lens.
The lenses have accommodation to help you see in your distance, intermediate (for computer type work or looking at the dash in your car) and near vision.
To determine if you have presbyopia, or if you need multifocal lenses is in the add portion of the prescription if there is a plus power ranging from +1.00 all the way up to +3.50.

There are 2 different types depending on what you need that you can choose from. There is the Computer lens which is designated for that 5 ft range, and then there is the workspace that accommodates up to 10 ft!
